Don M. Drysdale Don Drysdale

Don M. Drysdale, CPA/ABV, ASA, is the managing member of Gibraltar Business Valuations with offices in the Chicago, Salt Lake City and Tucson areas. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Arizona and Utah and holds the AICPA specialty designation of Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV). He is also an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers, and is a member of the Appraisal Issues Task Force. Mr. Drysdale has more than 25 years financial and accounting experience with more than 20 years providing business valuation services.He has considerable experience in lecturing to academic and professional organizations, including the University of Arizona, the University of Utah, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Appraisers, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Institute of Business Appraisers, the Arizona Society of CPAs, the Utah Association of CPAs, and others. Mr. Drysdale has also written the section on valuing construction companies in the book Financial Valuation: Applications and Models. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Weber State University.


Chris Treharne

Chris Treharne is the Managing Director of Gibraltar Business Valuations. In addition to his prior business valuation experience at a regional appraisal firm, Chris had worked as an executive manager and manager in small start-up companies and Fortune 500 firms. As a respected authority in his field, Chris was called upon to testify before the Treasury Department on a proposed regulation in late 2016.
Chris believes that his hands-on practical experience as a manager in a variety of industries benefits his clients. Furthermore, he knows from personal experience the adverse impact on value of owning minority ownership interests in closely held businesses.
Chris has served clients throughout the United States. Additionally, he has completed assignments in many different industries, for large corporations and one owner businesses, plus start-ups and mature companies.
Chris is prepared to provide valuations for federal gift, estate, and income tax purposes as well as stock option, divorce, merger, acquisition, and ESOP needs. In addition, he can provide brokerage and corporate financial services.


Ian Netherton

Ian Netherton's background and expertise span tax, financial reporting, valuation and advisory services. In additions to his valuation work, he serves as an adjunct finance officer for several early growth corporations. Before his consulting career, Ian managed the capital analysis for a large travel and luxury company. Ian started his career in public accounting primarily in a tax capacity.

Ian is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He has earned the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He graduated from the University of Phoenix with dual degrees in Accounting and Management and is presently a member of the AICPA and the Rockies Venture Club."


Karen Romrell

Karen Romrell, MPA, CVA is a Senior Consultant at Gibraltar Business Valuations. Ms. Romrell has over 25 years of experience analyzing businesses and financial information. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with an Emphasis in Finance and a Master of Public Administration, she has a well-rounded understanding of for-profit, government, nongovernmental organizations (NGO), and nonprofit entities. Ms. Romrell performs business and asset valuations for mergers and acquisitions, gift and estate taxes, employee stock plans (ESOP), financial reporting, charitable contributions, SBA loans, and economic damage analysis for litigation. Specializing in intellectual property, she has analyzed, consulted, and testified on damages related to copyright infringement, patent infringement, trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and breach of contract for entities in a variety of industries. Ms. Romrell has served on various community boards and committees; she believes community involvement and helping others provides many benefits, both personal and professional.
